The Week Ahead - week 9

I’d like to take this opportunity to say thank you for your continued support of our classroom and of your child’s learning this year.  I have loved sharing the learning process with your children each day and I will miss them as they enter Year 2.

Semester 2 report cards, 2015 class allocation and portfolios will be sent home today.

Friday

Our final assembly led by 5N at 10:30am in Siena hall.  This is a Year 6 leadership ceremony.  Afterwards, the children from our class will be dismissed from the classroom.

School concludes 11:30am with all students to be collected by midday

St Vincent de Paul Appeal

Each year, our school conducts a collection of goodies for the St Vincent de Paul Society. Year levels are given the task of providing different items to help provide Christmas cheer to those in our area who need help. The Year One classes have been asked to provide treats and lollies. When you are next doing the grocery shopping, could you please consider helping this worthy cause and put a little extra for someone else in your trolley? Please send the collected items to school in a plastic bag with your child. Thanks in advance of your generosity!

Christmas Concert

The St Bernardine’s Christmas Concert will be on Friday 28^th November at 6:30pm.  This concert will take place in Siena Hall.

                                         

The students in Year One will be performing an item at the Christmas concert.  If your child is unable to attend, please inform their classroom teacher.  Their absence will impact rehearsals.

  

Listed below is some important information in regards to our Christmas Concert:

·    1 Green students to meet at 6:00-6:15pm in their classroom and 1N and 1M to meet in the 1 Navy classroom,  dressed in their costume:

-       Black clothes (eg. t-shirt and pants)

-       Bare feet (wear slip on shoes for to and from school)

·    Parents are welcome to be seated in the hall from 6:00pm.

The teachers will walk the children to the hall and they will be with their class during the whole concert.

·    Please ensure your child has been to the toilet before he/she meets the Year One teachers.

·    No food is to be consumed in the hall.

·    Parents are to collect their children from the teachers at the end of the concert.  We anticipate the concert to finish at approximately 8:00pm.

We are all looking forward to a wonderful Christmas Concert.
